Second Home

Second Home is a project I worked on for UNM instructor Patrick Manning's Exhibition Print class. The project focuses on a personal connection to a space where I attended elementary and middle school, but now the old Fort Wingate school area is abandoned. A place, once a safe space with a history of colonial power taking over the Native people, later turned toward the cultural revitalization of language and teachings, is now a space that people mistreat and destroy. The project concerns the number of natural resources used for land development leading toward abandoned buildings and their histories.
